The latest Pokemon Home update brings some new functionality and fixes, but the much-requested feature is still missing as of version 2.1.1.
The Pokemon Company has started rolling out a new update for Pokemon Home, as the popular mobile app is ported to version 2.1.1. This is a minor patch that modifies some of the functionality introduced in Update 2.1.0 for Pokemon Home In early February, though, it adds one notable feature that depends on the app’s connection with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The most notable addition from the past Pokemon Home The update was the ability to view Ranked battle information from Pokemon Scarlet and VioletBeside Pokemon Sword and Shield, using the Battle Data feature. But in terms of app support for Game Freak’s latest Switch RPG, most users remain much more interested in the ability to move objects from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to Pokemon Home. This fan-requested feature is expected to arrive in the next major update that Nintendo recently said would come within weeks.
Meanwhile, version 2.1.1 of Pokemon Home Improves the Battle Data section of the app with the ability to view Pokemon Natures from the Ranking screen. According to the brief patch notes, this information appears to be limited to Ranked Battles from Season 4 or later. The registered values also represent Pokémon that have been altered in nature with mint, although there is no way to know if the listed nature has been altered from the app, according to the developers.
Another change has been introduced with Pokemon Home 2.1.1 The update concerns the app’s handling of mystery gifts. Namely, the feature now requires a Nintendo Account login in order to enforce a limit of one Mystery Gifts per profile, which was previously only a prerequisite for the Switch version of the app. Pokemon Home Patch notes for 2.1.1 also mention the introduction of unspecified bug fixes intended to improve the overall user experience.
Update 2.1.1 for Pokemon Home iOS App Store hit March 2. Although the Android version debuted on the same day, a review of the country-specific Play Store listings indicates that it is still in the process of being rolled out globally as of March 3rd.
While Nintendo recently confirmed that the creature is moving from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are coming to Pokemon HomeHowever, the company has not yet committed to a more specific release period than “early 2023”. This ambiguous timing thwarted a vocal part of the Pokemon fandom, not least because it was revealed somewhat late in “early 2023” as it is, during the Pokemon Presents event on February 27th.
